In conjunction with Kitt Peak in Arizona, Sunspot is tasked with doing state-of-the-art research and education on the Sun, both as an astronomical phenomenon and as the dominant influence of life on Earth. The walking tour will include the visitor’s center as well as all of the major telescopes and facilities on site.
Participants should meet at the Sacramento Mountains Museum at 8:00 Saturday morning. All tours will caravan to the location in private cars. Admission to any location will be the responsibility of each participant. Donations to the museum will be accepted. For more information, call the
