GOVERNANCE The sponsoring agency of the Museum is the Sacramento Mountains Historical Society, governed by an elected Board of Directors. The mission of the Society includes: 1. Conserving the historical remains and records of the Sacramento Mountains area and making them generally known to the public. 2. Establishing and maintaining a museum in Cloudcroft for the storage, preservation and display of artifacts and records. 3. Encouraging worthy activities concerned with the area’s natural history and prehistoric culture.
